For the series “woman can be a lot ballsy too” I introduce you Alexa Leroux, singer of the Helsinki based powerhouse act Shear. On 2012, under Lifeforce Records, the Finns have released their debut album “Breaking the Stillness” that pours power metal from every corner not to forgot the melodic, symphonic & progressive influences. According her interview, Alexa seems that her classical background helped her as a singer and to develop a real good musical ear and she got attracted by metal because :”I just needed something a little more aggressive, in a way. I’m not a violent person; it’s just that, like I said earlier, singing metal was a good outlet for my energy. And I’ve always had lots of energy”.
